Pacific Northwest Hair COVID-19 Exposure Control, Mitigation & Recovery Plan

Upon Arrival

We ask that you text as soon as you arrive and wait in your car until called in for your appointment. Sola is keeping the doors locked at this time, so I will be at the front door to greet you and let you in when it is your turn. Please show me patience as I want to make sure everything is properly sanitized between clients.

PPE utilization

At minimum, fabric masks are to be worn by all parties involved with provided services (stylist and client). This is a requirement while within Pacific Northwest Hair, before, during and after services have been completed.  We ask for masks to be in place before entering the Sola Salon building.

On-location Physical Distancing

A minimum of 6 feet of distance will be maintained between individuals unless services are being provided at that time.  We ask for you to come alone to your appointment.  There will be no more than two people within the salon studio at a time. Upon arrival we ask you to text us once you have arrived for your appointment. Please remain in your vehicle until we text you back that we have the studio ready for you.

Hygiene. Sola Salon Lynnwood allows guests access to the building’s public restrooms.   It is suggested for you to wash your hands before your appointment, unless you are able to sanitize your hands via other means (i.e., liquid hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.). Upon request, Pacific Northwest Hair will offer the use of hand sanitizer.  Employees of Pacific Northwest Hair will be required to wash hands in between each client and before starting a new service.

Sanitation & Location Disinfection Procedures

Pacific Northwest Hair will be fully sanitized before opening and closing each day.  This includes the wiping down of all door handles, surfaces, sinks, seating and other visible areas.  All tools and surfaces used during individual services will be sanitized either with disinfectant wipes, soap and water and/or the use of Barbicide disinfectant solution.  Linens used during services will be fresh and used only on a single individual.  Soiled linens will be taken home daily and cleaned and sanitized before being brought back to the salon.

Symptom Monitoring

Employees will be self-monitoring daily for any COVID-19 symptoms.  If a situation arises where symptoms do become apparent (symptoms such as, but not limited to headache, coughing, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of taste,  loss of smell, fever, chills, shaking, muscle pain, sore through, etc), all clients will be contacted to reschedule or cancel their appointments at no cost to the client. We ask all clients to self-monitor as well and if presenting any COVID-19 symptoms to please contact Pacific Northwest Hair to reschedule your appointment.

Incident Reporting

In the case of a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, all clients seen in the previous 7 days will be contacted by phone and email.

COVID-19 Safety Training

All employees are certified in the use of Barbicide disinfectant solution.  All employees are also licensed cosmologists in the state of Washington and have passed the Washington State Boards. The Washington State Boards includes thorough training on sanitization practices to ensure the health of both the client and the service provider.

Exposure Response Procedures

If exposed to COVID-19, Pacific Northwest Hair will close for 14 days in order to ensure the safety of both employees and clients.  A professional cleaning crew will be brought in to disinfect the facility before reopening.

Post-Exposure Incident Project-Wide Recovery Plan

Clients displaced due to exposure will be the first clients seen upon reopening.  All actions listed above will remain in effect until otherwise noted.
